Andersen Corporation Opens Distribution Facility in Sacramento

The Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization (SACTO) and the City of Sacramento jointly announced today that Andersen Corporation, manufacturer of Andersen® windows and doors, has chosen the City of Sacramento for its first California logistics facility. Andersen recently signed a lease with Oates Investments for 72,000 square feet of industrial space on Rovanna Circle. The company began its light assembly and distribution operations in late June.

Andersen Corporation, based in Bayport, Minnesota, was founded more than a century ago, and now employs more than 14,000 people in North America.

The new Andersen facility employs approximately 30 people, some of whom transferred from an existing contract distribution company. This continues a long-running wave of relocation and expansion activity of building materials manufacturing and distribution firms in the Sacramento Region. Most see the region as a high growth hub for years to come, as California looks inland for room to grow, and Sacramento’s business climate is one of the most receptive in the state.

“We are very excited about Andersen’s decision to set up this facility in the Sacramento Region. Andersen is a high caliber company, known for its quality products, and we welcome them to Sacramento,” stated Jeff Koewler, SACTO Chair. "The City of Sacramento wants to provide superior customer service to companies currently in the City and to potential companies looking to locate their businesses here. I welcome Andersen to District 6 and hope they are here for years to come," said Vice Mayor Kevin McCarty, District 6.

SACTO would like to thank Micah Runner from the City of Sacramento, Andrew Kilpatrick from Oates Investments, and all of those representatives from the city, region and state that have and will continue to assist Andersen as it ramps up operations.
